Vidya S. Bobba, M.D., Medical Director and Board-certified Radiation Oncologist, prides himself on being available to physicians, patients and their family at all times during their treatment and follow-up. Dr. Bobba is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Stanford University's Radiation Oncology Department. He completed his residency in 1988 at Northwestern University in Chicago and a fellowship in brachytherapy and hyperthermia at City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, California. Before that he trained for five years in England, receiving the Diploma in Medical Radiotherapy and Oncology. He has since become certified in Real-time Prostate Seed implants using the PROSEED technique and trained in NOMOS IMRT approaches. Most recently, with the addition of high dose rate radiation (HDR) at the Redding Cancer Treatment Center, he treats women with breast cancer using the MammoSite balloon catheter, interstitial and intracavitary gynecologic cancers, and interstitial head and neck cancers.
